Operation HOPE Seeks Economic Triage Volunteers for Hurricane Victims

Operation HOPE Inc.'s HOPE Coalition America provides financial and economic guidance and assistance to individuals affected by disasters. The coalition is a collaboration of:

• professionals from the banking, financial services and insurance industries;
• higher education professionals; and
• social and community services agencies.

HOPE Coalition America has activated Project Restore HOPE to assist recent hurricane victims with the short-, medium- and long-term economic and financial challenges they will face in the weeks and months ahead.

A trained network of volunteers is ready to provide financial counseling, guidance and assistance by phone (1-888-388-HOPE) and in Disaster Recovery Centers to those who are directly affected by these devastating storms. Services include:

• Emergency budget counseling.
• Emergency credit management.
• Assistance with deferring mortgage payments.
• Assistance with working with creditors.
• Referrals to government and private agencies.
• Assistance with obtaining copies of destroyed financial documents.
• Insurance claims assistance.
