The Texas Regional Opportunity Index: A New Platform for Encouraging and Evaluating Local Action

Nonprofit staff and board members, college administrators, cultural organizations and private foundations from the Houston community gathered at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Houston Branch, to learn about the Center for Public Policy Priorities’ new data tool launched as part of the OpportunityTexas campaign. The Texas Regional Opportunity Index (TROI) provides solutions-oriented data to local stakeholders, which can be used to:

  • drive organizational and community performance
  • develop grant proposals
  • communicate with the media
  • guide cross-system collaboration
  • integrate service across sectors
