Connecting Communities® Webinar
A Spotlight on the Fed’s Community Development Work and a Discussion of Promising Opportunities for the Field

The Connecting Communities webinar series is a Federal Reserve System initiative intended to provide a national audience with timely information on emerging and important community and economic development topics.
The July 10 webinar will cover latest trends and how and why the Fed promotes community development.
Featured speakers include:
- Mark Pinsky, Opportunity Finance Network
- Joseph Firschein, Federal Reserve Board of Governors
- Alfreda B. Norman, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas
These experts will share insights on the state of the community development industry, promising practices, research and policy issues from around the country. As part of this discussion, presenters will introduce a recently released report, “Federal Reserve Community Development Perspectives: A summary of activities, insights and future opportunities.”
This session will also provide an introduction to the Fed’s new web portal, FedCommunities.org, which includes hundreds of community development resources from across the Federal Reserve System, categorized into four focus areas: people, place, practice and small business.
