2014 RAISE Texas Training and Summit

Creating Financial Capability Opportunities for All Texans
May 5–7, 2014 · San Antonio

Hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, RAISE Texas and the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation

Too many working families in Texas struggle to pay monthly expenses and consider saving for the future a luxury they cannot afford. Without savings, families have few financial options available when faced with emergencies. RAISE Texas partners provide financial capability tools and activities throughout the state that empower their clients to save, to weather the occasional financial crisis and to reach their family financial goals.

Attendees of the RAISE Texas Summit:

  • Learned more about these tools, resources and activities
  • Networked with a broad cross-section of participants and supporters who are:
    • Developing and expanding financial coaching and counseling programs
    • Implementing high-impact savings innovations for children, college, emergencies and tax time
    • Offering a new payday lending alternative
