Dallas – December 9
San Antonio – December 10

Dallas, El Paso, Houston and San Antonio have hallmark industries that define the local economy: oil production, oil refining and the port in Houston; banking, insurance, wholesale trade and regional distribution in Dallas; tourism, Mexico-oriented distribution and agriculture in San Antonio; and maquiladoras and the military in El Paso. The broad economic forces currently moving through the larger economy carry different implications for each of the regions. These dinner meetings focused on the how and why of changing local economic conditions.
