Get a sneak peek of the new $100 bill!

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is partnering with the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) for a free public open house at the Bank’s new educational exhibit. The event will feature several family-friendly activities.

Tour the Dallas Fed’s new educational exhibit, The Economy in Action.

See the new $100 bill three months before its release.

Design, engrave and pull proofs of a currency note, and learn about the engraving process of U.S. paper currency. This activity is on a first-come-first-served basis, so visitors should show up early. Hours: 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. (Children ages 8 and up)

Interact and talk with BEP Intaglio engravers, platemakers and photoengravers and learn about currency sheets, currency plates, dies, and special tools.

Hear a presentation from Charlene Williams, associate director of the BEP's Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth, on the history of the BEP, the money production process and the security features in U.S. paper currency. Sessions: 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 1:15 p.m.

Purchase currency sheets and souvenir novelty items.

Learn how to identify counterfeit currency from a U.S. Secret Service agent.
