  • The Dallas Fed will host workshops for new Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) officers in cooperation with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and Office of Thrift Supervision. The sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and be held Sept. 18 in Dallas, Sept. 25 in Houston and Oct. 18 in San Antonio. Designed for new CRA officers at small or intermediate-small banks, the workshops will cover current regulations, exam preparation and compliance strategies.   • A Workplace Financial Education seminar for human resource professionals has been scheduled for Sept. 21 at the Dallas Fed. The event is being held in partnership with the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Keynote speaker Dr. E. Thomas Garman will present his research on the benefits of financial literacy to workplace productivity. Additional agenda items will include a panel of employers that are incorporating personal financial education into their employee benefits and a demonstration of free financial education resources that are available to employers.
