HMDA Training for Lenders
October 3, 2003, Dallas Fed December 8, 2003, Houston Branch
The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas hosted HMDA training session to help lenders prepare for the revisions to the HMDA regulation that will be generally effective January 1, 2004. This sessions were designed to assist lenders in collecting and reporting data accurately.
In 2002, Regulation C was revised extensively to keep pace with changes in the mortgage-lending market. The types of information collected were significantly broadened to include data on loan pricing and other revisions. The new pricing data will help deter discrimination and enable better understanding of the mortgage market, particularly in the subprime segment.
