U.S. treasurer to unveil new Lone Star Note at Dallas Fed

U.S. Treasurer Rosario Marin will unveil a new $1 Lone Star Note during a ceremony at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. The Lone Star Note is the Bureau of Engraving and Printing's latest currency product. The bill is printed at the Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth.

Marin was sworn in as the 41st treasurer of the United States in August 2001. She is the highest-ranking Latina in the Bush administration and the first foreign-born U.S. Treasurer.
