Dallas Fed announces new data section on web site

For immediate release: October 16, 2002

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas announced the new "Hot Stats" section of its web site today. The new section features the latest Texas economic data as they are released from various data-producing agencies and includes a short explanation of what these numbers mean for the Texas economy. The section also includes charts produced by Dallas Fed economists.

"Hot Stats gives the Dallas Fed’s insights on newly released economic data in a concise and timely manner," said Mine Yücel, assistant vice president and director of the Regional Economics Group.

Examples of data to be included in this section are monthly Texas employment figures, quarterly Texas gross state product output, quarterly Texas exports and the Texas Coincident Index.

Find the first release of "Hot Stats" online Thursday afternoon on the Dallas Fed homepage, www.dallasfed.org, under the What's New heading.
