DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Steve Vandegrift of Austin to serve on the Dallas Fed’s San Antonio Branch board of directors for a term ending Dec. 31, 2006.

Vandegrift is founder and president of SRV Holdings, an investment company. During his 20-year operating career, Vandegrift was managing director of Techxas Ventures and helped start Activerse, where he was president and CEO. He is co-founder, investor and chairman of Wireless Verticals, Inc. and also founded the Grindstone Group. Vandegrift has held management and information technology positions at two divisions of Chase Manhattan Bank.

Vandegrift has served as chairman emeritus of the Austin Software Council. He also has been a member of the board of directors of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce and Texchange and has served on the executive committee for the American Electronic Association.

The San Antonio Branch board of directors consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed board of directors and three by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
