Chang reappointed to Dallas Fed’s Houston Branch board, reelected chairman pro tem

DALLAS—The board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas' Houston Branch has elected Nancy T. Chang chairman pro tem for 2007.

Chang was appointed to the Houston Branch board in 2005 by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and reappointed this year to a term ending 2009.

She is co-founder and chairman of the board of Houston-based Tanox Inc., a biopharmaceutical company.

She serves on the boards of the Greater Houston Partnership and Center for Houston’s Future. She also serves on advisory councils for Stanford Bio-X/Bioengineering and Texas A&M Health Science Center Institute of Bioscience and Technology.

Chang received a Ph.D. from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree from National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. She also attended graduate school at Brown University.

The Houston Branch board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed board and three by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
