Levine reelected chairman pro tem of Dallas Fed's El Paso Branch board

DALLAS—The board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas' El Paso Branch has re-elected Cecilia O. Levine of El Paso chairman pro tem for 2007.

Levine was appointed to the El Paso Branch board in 2002 by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and has served as chairman pro tem since 2004.

She is president of MFI International LLC. An active member of various civic organizations, Levine is president and founder of USA/Mexico Strategic Alliance.

Levine is also a founding member of the Midland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as well as a participant in the U.S.–Mexico Partnership for Prosperity, a public–private alliance that aims to spur private-sector economic growth throughout Mexico. She also has served on the Presidents Export Council.

Levine studied geology at the University of Texas at El Paso. She is a native of Chihuahua, Mexico, and currently resides in El Paso.

The El Paso Branch board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed board and three by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
