Dallas Fed releases updated Spanish edition of Building Wealth guide

For immediate release: June 4, 2007

DALLAS—Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President and CEO Richard W. Fisher today announced the release of updated versions of Cómo Crear Riqueza, the Spanish-language edition of the bank’s popular finance education resource.

The publication focuses on the three building blocks of building wealth: presupuestar para ahorrar, ahorrar e invertir, y controlar la deuda.

The updated interactive edition is available online. It features built-in calculators and interactive worksheets allowing users to calculate their personal net worth and set wealth-building goals.

Many nonprofit community organizations, financial services providers and consumers use Cómo Crear Riqueza as a personal finance education resource.

Cómo Crear Riqueza’s updated content includes tips on avoiding identity theft and understanding credit reports, credit scores and insurance.

“We are pleased that Building Wealth has provided so many consumers with essential personal finance information,” Fisher said. “The Spanish translation extends its outreach to the Dallas Fed’s constituents and beyond. This new resource is an excellent starting point for anyone seeking personal wealth-building strategies.”

The new versions include updated online interactive and print editions. Print booklets can be ordered by calling 214-922-5254 or visiting www.dallasfed.org.

The publication and on-line edition also are available in English along with an interactive CD-ROM.
