Dallas Fed announces executive promotions

For immediate release: August 8, 2007

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has announced the following promotions:

Dana Merritt has been promoted to personnel officer. Previously, she served as personnel services coordinator with oversight of recruiting, employee relations, training and organizational development. She is a certified Professional in Human Resources and holds a B.A. from Michigan State University.

Al Qualman has been promoted to operations officer with responsibility for overseeing the consolidation of check operations to the Dallas Fed. Qualman served as director of strategic investment and risk management and supervised the implementation of all prior check consolidations and check image conversion and exchange. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington and masters certificate in project management from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Art Tribble, vice president in the Financial Institution Relationship Management Department, has been named associate secretary for the Dallas Fed board of directors. Tribble has worked in several departments within the bank, including Banking Supervision, Discount and Credit, Financial Industry Studies, Public Affairs and Legal. He holds a B.A. from Austin College and J.D. from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
