Larry L. Patton appointed to Dallas Fed's El Paso Branch board

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Larry L. Patton of El Paso to the Bank's El Paso Branch board of directors. He will serve a three-year term beginning January 1, 2008.

Patton is president and CEO of Bank of the West in El Paso. He has held several positions at Bank of the West since 1990, including COO, executive vice president and chief credit officer. He also served as CEO of two other El Paso banks prior to his present position. Patton's career began with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

He is a member and past chairman of the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Patton is also a member of the Texas Bankers Association and a past vice chairman of the Texas Bankers Association's Government Relations Council.

Patton holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Eastern New Mexico University.

The El Paso Branch board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed board and three by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
