Ramos-Davidson appointed to Dallas Fed's El Paso Branch board

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Board of Governors has appointed Cindy Ramos-Davidson to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ El Paso Branch. She will serve a three-year term beginning January 1, 2008.

Ramos-Davidson has served as chief executive officer of the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for the past nine years and has more than 25 years in chamber of commerce experience, primarily in small business and entrepreneurial development.

She is a member of the Texas Association of Mexican–American Chambers of Commerce; serves on the President's Council of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation, and is a member of the National Association of Female Executives.

Ramos-Davidson also was appointed to serve on the University of Texas at El Paso Centennial Commission by university president Dr. Diana Natalicio and on the state of Texas’ Auto Theft Prevention Task Force by Gov. Rick Perry. Most recently, she was appointed to the High School Completion and Success Initiative Council by Texas Education Commissioner Robert Scott.

She has served on the boards of several civic organizations and has received numerous awards, including the Texas Association of Mexican–American Chambers of Commerce’s Chairwoman Award, Community Service Award and Leadership Award.

Ramos-Davidson speaks to organizations throughout the nation on small-business economic-development issues. She holds a B.A. from UT–El Paso.

The El Paso Branch board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed board and three by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
