Dallas Fed appoints Frank Mihalopoulos to bank’s Advisory Council

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Frank Mihalopoulos of Dallas to the Bank’s Eleventh District Advisory Council. He will serve a three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2010.

Mihalopoulos has 30 years of commercial real estate experience and develops properties throughout the country, with a primary focus on the Southwest. He is also a partner in Central Kia and Rodeo Ford automobile dealerships in the Dallas area.

Some of his recent developments include Eldorado Plaza in McKinney, Cedar Hill Village in Cedar Hill, re-development of 100 Oaks Mall with Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville and Gateway Center in College Station, Texas.

Mihalopoulos is on the boards of the Texas Real Estate Council, St. Mark’s School of Texas and Goodwill of Dallas. He was recently chairman of “Dreamers, Doers and Unsung Heroes,” a charitable project sponsored by the Texas Real Estate Council.

He graduated from Southern Methodist University.

The Advisory Council meets to discuss economic activity and business conditions in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District, which includes Texas, northern Louisiana and southern New Mexico.
