Dobson appointed to Dallas Fed's San Antonio Branch board

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Thomas E. Dobson of Corpus Christi to serve on the Dallas Fed's San Antonio Branch board of directors for a term ending Dec. 31, 2011.

Dobson is chairman and CEO of Whataburger Restaurants, a quick-service restaurant chain with 712 locations in 10 states.

He is also managing partner of Dobson Properties, an investment partnership, and president and CEO of Quality Broadcasting, which owns and operates KFTX “Real Country” radio in Corpus Christi.

Dobson is chairman of the Driscoll Foundation and Coastal Bend Community Foundation. He is also a member of the Frost Bank advisory board of directors for the Corpus Christi region.

He attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.
