Douglas L. Foshee and Paul Hobby to lead Dallas Fed’s Houston Branch board

DALLAS—The board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas' Houston Branch has appointed Douglas L. Foshee chairman and Paul Hobby deputy chairman for 2009.

Foshee is president, CEO and director of El Paso Corp. He serves on the boards of Children's Museum of Houston, Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation, Central Houston Inc. and The Greater Houston Partnership.

Hobby is chairman and CEO of Alpheus Communications, a provider of telecommunications and data center services.  He is also founding partner of Genesis Park, a Houston-based private equity firm. Hobby serves on the boards of NRG Energy and Stewart Information Services.

The Houston Branch board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed board and three by the Federal Reserve System Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
