McKnight appointed to Dallas Fed’s El Paso Branch board

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Robert E. McKnight Jr. of Fort Davis to the Dallas Fed’s El Paso Branch board of directors.  He will fill an unexpired term ending Dec. 31, 2009.

McKnight, a fifth-generation rancher, is a partner in McKnight Ranch Company, operating in Jeff Davis, Brewster, Reeves, Crane and Ector counties.

He serves as a director of the National Cattleman’s Beef Association and is on the executive committee of the Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.

McKnight also serves on the board of governors for the Permian Basin Area Foundation.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University.

The El Paso Branch board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed board and three by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
