J.C. Penney chairmen reappointed to Dallas Fed board

Jorge A. Bermudez Reappointed to Dallas Fed's Houston Branch Board

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Board of Governors has reappointed Jorge A. Bermudez of College Station to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Houston Branch board of directors. He will serve a three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2012.

Bermudez is president and CEO of the Byebrook Group, a small firm that conducts research and advisory work in the financial services industry. Previously, he served as chief risk officer for Citigroup.

He has served on the Houston Branch board since June 2009, when he was appointed to a partial unexpired term.

He is a board member of the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley. He serves on several boards and councils at Texas A&M University, including the International Board, College of Agriculture Development Council and the Mays Business School Development Council. He also serves on the board of the Association of Former Students at Texas A&M and is chairman elect.

Bermudez holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from Texas A&M University.

The Houston board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed board and three by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
