Dallas Fed announces executive promotions

For immediate release: December 21, 2009

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has announced the following executive promotions:

Jeffery W. Gunther has been promoted to vice president with continuing responsibility for the Financial Industry Studies Department. He holds a Ph.D. from Southern Methodist University.

Claude Davis has been promoted to assistant vice president. Previously, he served as accounting officer. He holds a B.A from Bowdoin College and is a certified public accountant.

Paul Elzner has been promoted to assistant vice president. Previously, he served as credit risk and reserves officer. He holds a B.B.A. from Stephen F. Austin State University, an M.B.A. from Texas A&M University at Commerce and completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado.

Dana S. Merritt has been promoted to assistant vice president. Previously, she served as human resources officer. She holds a B.A. from Michigan State University and is a certified professional in human resources.

William W. Shaffer Jr. has been promoted to assistant vice president. Previously, he served as information technology officer. He holds a B.S. from Southeast Missouri State University, an M.B.A. from Baylor University and completed the Graduate School of Banking program at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
