Dallas Fed names longtime employee Ann Worthy as head of banking supervision

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Ann Worthy as senior vice president in charge of the Banking Supervision, Discount and Credit, and Financial Industry Studies departments.

She is replacing executive vice president Bob Hankins, who is retiring effective April 1.

Worthy is a native of Dallas and began her career with the Dallas Fed in 1969.

She has served in several executive positions during her tenure at the Dallas Fed. Prior to her most recent promotion, she was responsible for the Discount and Credit Department, which includes the Discount Window, Reserve Maintenance and the Payments System Risk functions.

Prior to assuming responsibility for Discount and Credit, she oversaw the commercial bank and bank holding company examination functions as well as information technology examinations in the Banking Supervision Department.

Worthy is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas with a bachelor of science in business administration. She completed the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking Program at Southern Methodist University.

She is past president and served on the board of directors of Altrusa International, Inc. of Downtown Dallas, a nonprofit community service organization and is a member of the Advisory Board for Paralegal Studies at El Centro College.
