Dallas Fed announces executive promotions

For immediate release: September 5, 2013

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has announced the following promotions:

—Harvey Mitchell has been promoted to senior vice president with responsibility for the Treasury Services and Business Continuity departments, Law Enforcement Unit and the bank’s newly formed Corporate Planning Department and Business Excellence Office.

Previously, he served as vice president.

Mitchell holds a bachelor’s degree in statistics from the University of Chicago and master’s in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

—Dana Merritt has been promoted to vice president and assistant director of the bank’s Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) with responsibility for the Human Resources Department.

Previously, she served as assistant vice president and OMWI assistant director.

Merritt holds a bachelor’s degree with a specialization in personnel management from Michigan State University and is a certified human resources professional.

—Laurel Brewster has been promoted to assistant vice president with responsibility for the Public Affairs Department.

Previously, she served as public affairs officer.

Brewster holds a bachelor’s degree from Bard College and a master’s degree in museum studies from Syracuse University.

—Jeff Garrett has been promoted to assistant vice president with continuing responsibility in the bank’s Financial Management Department.

Previously, he served as financial management officer.

Garrett holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Hardin-Simmons University and a master’s degree in human resources from the University of Texas at Arlington.
