Dallas Fed announces executive promotion at Houston Branch

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has promoted Paul Wheeler to examining officer at its Houston Branch.

Previously, Wheeler served as director of examinations. He joined the Bank in 1993 as an assistant examiner at the Houston Branch.

He is responsible for the banking supervision function at the Houston Branch, including the supervision of foreign banking organizations in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District.

Wheeler was commissioned as a bank examiner in 2001, promoted to senior examiner in 2005 and to director in 2010.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Houston. He is a certified financial services auditor and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado.
