Dallas Fed names Houston Branch head Daron Peschel as senior vice president

HOUSTON—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Daron Peschel as senior vice president.

As a senior vice president, Peschel will participate in overall management of the Bank. Peschel will continue his responsibility as official in charge of the Bank’s Houston Branch, supporting the Branch’s operations in the 41 counties in the Houston and Gulf Coast region.

Peschel was named vice president in charge at the Houston Branch in 2011 and has had a 25-year career at the Bank. He began his career as a management intern in 1989 and served in numerous analytical and managerial roles. Peschel was named operations officer in 1998 and served as a principal team member and financial officer for the Houston Branch building project. He was named assistant vice president in 2001 and vice president in 2007.

Peschel serves on the University of Texas McCombs School of Business alumni board, the advisory board for the Sam Houston State University chair of banking and the Junior Achievement Gulf Coast board of directors.

Peschel earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA in banking and financial institutions from Sam Houston State University.
