Dallas Fed announces executive promotions

For immediate release: December 23, 2014

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has announced the following promotions:

—Dex Beyene has been promoted to assistant vice president in the Financial Management Department.

Previously, he served as financial management officer. Beyene began his career with the Bank in 1999 and has served in a variety of management positions in the Financial Management Department. Beyene previously worked at the Louisville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and Bank of America.

Beyene holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in economics from Berea College in Kentucky. He has attended several executive education programs.

—Barbara Hendrix has been promoted to assistant vice president in the Banking Supervision Department.

Previously, she served as examining officer. Hendrix began her career at the Dallas Fed as an assistant examiner in 1983. She advanced to senior examiner in 1990 and in 1993 was promoted to director of examinations in the Bank’s Houston Branch.

Hendrix holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
