Larry Schiff Nnamed assistant vice president at Dallas Fed’s San Antonio Branch

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Larry Schiff as assistant vice president in the San Antonio Branch.

Schiff is responsible for supervising teams of large and regional bank and holding company examiners in central to southern Texas.

Previously, Schiff was the executive vice president and head of credit risk management at East West Bank, a regional commercial bank in Pasadena, California. He also previously served as a director in KPMG's national credit risk management advisory practice.

Schiff served for 11 years as a senior supervisory financial analyst with the Federal Reserve Board of Governors’ Division of Banking Supervision and Regulation, as liaison to both the Chicago and the New York Reserve Banks. Earlier in his career, Schiff served for five years as a commercial bank examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Schiff has lectured in finance and international finance at five universities, and has been a regular speaker at various banking associations and civic forums.

Schiff earned a bachelor’s in economics and management from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and an MBA in finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
