David S. Luttrell
Senior Economic Analyst and Special Assistant to the President
Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas

David Luttrell is a senior economic analyst and special assistant to the president at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Before acting as the liaison on behalf of the Bank president, Luttrell served as the coordinator of economic and financial analysis and assistant to the director of research. Joining the Bank in 2009 as a member of the research department’s macroeconomic group, he contributed research and analysis on U.S. economic, banking and financial market developments for the Bank president and board of directors.

Luttrell serves on the advisory council of Seed Effect, a microfinance organization providing access to microloans and education in South Sudan, and is a board member of HOI, a community development partnership organization operating in Honduras and Nicaragua. He is a trustee of The Light Foundation and director and founder of Ambassadors Club of Dallas; both are grant-making charitable organizations supporting domestic and global Christian outreach initiatives.

Luttrell holds bachelor’s degrees in economics and finance from Southern Methodist University.
