Healthy Communities: A Framework for Meeting CRA Obligations Webinar

The Texas Department of Banking hosted a webinar highlighting the Dallas Fed’s publication “Healthy Communities: A Framework for Meeting CRA Obligations.” Its author, Elizabeth Sobel Blum, presented:
- Best practices in community development
- A healthy communities framework that highlights the types of investments that are valuable both to financial institutions and their target communities (for example, financial literacy training; asset-building financial services and products; entrepreneurship; job training)
- CRA reference guides to help ensure that planned CRA activities meet regulatory requirements
- A template for how financial institutions can tell their CRA story
Webinar participants included financial institutions, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, businesses, teachers, students, consumers, health professionals and civic leaders interested in promoting the strength and resilience of their communities.
