This one-day forum addressed international issues and classroom strategies for secondary educators.
On Jan. 1, 1994, NAFTA—the North American Free Trade Agreement—went into effect. This agreement between Mexico, Canada and the United States created the world’s largest free trade zone, linking 450 million people and producing over $17 trillion worth of goods and services.
This forum honored the 20th anniversary of this historic trade agreement and attendees heard discourse on the benefits and challenges to the United States and the regional economy.
Classroom-ready lessons and materials were provided for attendees.
