Matt Davies, payments outreach officer for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, discussed the role of the Federal Reserve in the U.S. payments system and highlighted hot topics in payments today, including the “chip cards” that have begun to replace traditional credit, debit and prepaid cards.

Davies will also shed light on innovations in mobile payments, such as Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Android Pay, and on the increasing options for making person-to-person (P2P) payments.
