14th Annual Undergraduate Research Conference

ESP—Economics Scholars Program for Undergraduate Research

Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas

NOTE: Due to the rapidly evolving situation concerning coronavirus (COVID-19), the in-person 14th Annual Undergraduate Research Conference, which was scheduled for March 27, has been cancelled. To continue to foster students’ research and critical questioning skills, all students with accepted papers will receive discussant feedback on their papers. We look forward to continuing the tradition of supporting undergraduate students with an interest in the fields of economics and finance with the 15th Annual Economic Scholars Program in 2021.

The Economics Scholars Program (ESP) is a collaborative effort between Austin College and the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas to foster the involvement of undergraduate economics students in all facets of research.

The cornerstone of the ESP is the annual ESP Conference. Since 2007, student scholars and faculty from institutions across the U.S. and Canada have come together to share undergraduate student-initiated or student–faculty coauthored works, ideas about the role of undergraduate research in the curriculum and the challenges and concerns of undergraduates who conduct research.
