Dallas Fed announces executive promotions

DALLAS —The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has announced the following promotions:

—James Hoard has been promoted to assistant vice president in the Bank’s Communications and Outreach Department.
Previously, he served as public affairs officer. Hoard joined the Bank in 2001 as a director of corporate communications. He has over 30 years of experience in various public relations positions in the public and private sector.

Hoard holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Midwestern State University and a master’s degree in political science from West Texas A&M University.

—Jesse Barrientes has been promoted to examining officer in the Banking Supervision Department.

Previously, he served as director of examinations. Barrientes was a senior bank examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He also held several positions at Citigroup, including audit manager, fair lending manager and compliance manager.
Barrientes holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in international management from the University of Dallas.

—Bob Mahalik has been promoted to examining officer in the Banking Supervision Department.

Previously, he served as director of applications. Mahalik joined the Bank in 1984 as an assistant examiner and has held several management positions in various departments.

He holds a bachelor’s in business administration from the University of North Texas and graduated from the Texas Executive Education program at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. He is a commissioned senior examiner.
