Digital Inclusion Summit

Dallas Fed

As the digital economy grows, digital inclusion represents economic inclusion leading to better outcomes in: civic engagement, education, employment, financial services, and health and household financial stability, among other key areas of economic growth. However, broadband access and adoption continue to lag behind for certain population segments including low-income communities. At the summit on Aug. 6, we convened local leaders from the city, county, education sector, financial institutions, foundations, nonprofits and others to discuss collaborative approaches to achieving digital equity and inclusion for all Dallas communities.

Topics covered in this one-day conference included:

  • Digital inclusion, economic growth and mobility
  • Broadband access and infrastructure
  • Digital skills gap in the workforce
  • Affordable internet services and devices
  • Bridging the digital divide in Dallas: A solutions showcase

Our partners in planning this event include the City of Dallas, Dallas County, Dallas County Community College District, Dallas Innovation Alliance, Paul Quinn College, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas.
