Trevino appointed to Dallas Fed's San Antonio Branch board

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Guillermo Trevino of Laredo to the bank’s San Antonio Branch board of directors for a term ending Dec. 31, 2008.

Trevino is vice president of Southern Distributing, a multi-brand beverage distribution company, and co-owner of the Southern Companies, a diverse group of operating and investment entities in the United States and Mexico.

He currently is chairman of the board of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce and served two terms as president of the Laredo Development Foundation. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Washington’s Birthday Celebration Association, United Engineering Magnet Advisory Board, and Texas A&M International College of Business Advisory Board.

Trevino serves on the City of Laredo’s Convention and Visitors Bureau Advisory Council and has served on the city’s Economic Advisory Council and Binational Commission.

He received a bachelor of arts degree from Rice University and a master of business administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He served on the Association of Rice Alumni Board of Directors and serves on the Goliard Scholarship Board of Governors.

The San Antonio Branch board of directors consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed board and three by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
