Frequently asked questions
Dallas Fed staff generally do not speak publicly during Federal Open Market Committee blackout periods.
A minimum audience of 75 people is required. Requests are also evaluated based on speaker availability, forum and subject matter.
Our speakers can address nonprofit professional, business and civic groups, both virtually and in person. Examples include academic institutions and civic or trade associations, such as chambers of commerce.
Speaking engagements with for-profit entities and political organizations or at political or fundraising events are prohibited for Dallas Fed employees.
Submit a speaker request form at least 60 days but no more six months before your event.
There is no charge. Dallas Fed employees volunteer their time to engage with communities within the Eleventh District, which includes Texas, northern Louisiana and southern New Mexico.
Our ambassador program connects Dallas Fed employees with student audiences. Ambassador-led tours of our district exhibits provide memorable on-site experiences for student groups.
Additionally, our virtual Fed 101 program provides an overview of the Federal Reserve System for remote audiences.
Financial education and college- and career-readiness training are currently available for student-group leaders through our speaker request form.
