Lubbock-area community listening session

Lubbock, Texas

Presented by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas in partnership with the Lubbock Area United Way and Texas Tech School of Banking

This event, part of the Dallas Fed’s 360° in 365 tour, explored economic issues facing the Lubbock area, contributing to our ongoing conversations with community partners throughout the diverse region we serve. As we work to support inclusive economic growth and opportunity, understanding the perspectives of a broad range of stakeholders is critical.

The program featured Dallas Fed President Lorie K. Logan, Senior Vice President Alfreda B. Norman and local leaders from the public, nonprofit and business sectors. They discussed economic issues faced by lower-income communities, showcasing organizations and initiatives working to tackle these issues. Three separate panel discussions focused on workforce development and educational attainment, affordable housing, and economic and small business development.
