george cummingsGeorge Cummings III is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council.

Cummings is the chairman and CEO of Progressive Bank. He has served as chairman of the board of Progressive Bancorp Inc. since January 2001 and the bank since May 2003 and as chief executive officer of Progressive Bancorp Inc. and the bank since April 1997.

In addition, he serves as chairman and CEO of Progressive Financial Advisors LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Progressive Bank.

Cummings holds a BS in banking and finance from Louisiana Tech University. He is also a graduate of the School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University and The Wharton School’s Strategic Thinking and Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
