Bob Malone

Bob Malone is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council.

Malone has served as the executive chairman, president and CEO of First Sonora Bancshares and Sonora Bank since October 2009. He has previously served as executive vice president of BP p.l.c. and chairman and president of BP America Inc. Prior to this role, he was the chief executive of BP Shipping Limited based in London and was the president and CEO of Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, the operator of the Trans Alaska Pipeline System. He retired from BP p.l.c. in April 2009 after a 35-year career.

He is lead director of the Halliburton Company and serves as non-executive chairman of Peabody Energy Company. He is also an independent director of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated.

Malone holds a Bachelor of Science in metallurgical engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso and was an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he received a Master of Science degree in management.
