L.E. SimmonsL.E. Simmons is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Energy Advisory Council.

Simmons founded SCF Partners, a private equity firm that invests in energy services, equipment and technology companies. Prior to starting SCF in 1989, Simmons founded the investment banking firm, Simmons & Co. International, specializing in oilfield services companies.

Simmons serves on boards of or associated with the Sam Houston Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Harvard Business School, Rice University, Texas Children’s Hospital and the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation. He also serves on the board of the Ellison Ranching Co. and the Chairman’s Council Caltech Geological and Planetary Sciences.

Simmons studied economics at the University of Utah and the London School of Economics. He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
