Gerald J. Ford

Gerald J. Ford is a member of the Federal Reserve of Dallas Financial Sector Advisory Council.

Ford is the chairman of Hilltop Holdings Inc, a role he has held since 2005. He is also a co-managing partner of Ford Financial Funds.

Ford currently serves as a director of Mechanics Bank, a portfolio company of Ford Financial Fund II and Ford Financial Fund III. Previously, he served as chairman of Pacific Capital Bancorp, a portfolio company of Ford Financial Fund I. In addition, Ford previously served as chairman of Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc.

He also serves as a trustee and on the Trusteeship Committee at Southern Methodist University (SMU). He is on the executive board of the SMU School of Law, a trustee of Southwestern Medical Foundation and Children’s Medical Foundation and a member of the board of Overseers of Weill Medical College and Graduate School of Medical Sciences of Cornell University.

Ford holds BA and JD degrees from SMU.
