Dallas Fed Appoints Mary Kipp to El Paso Branch board

For immediate release: December 9, 2015

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Mary E. Kipp of El Paso to its El Paso Branch board of directors for a three-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2016.

As a board member, Kipp will provide input on regional economic conditions as part of the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy functions.
She is president of El Paso Electric Co., a regional electric utility. Previously, Kipp was an enforcement attorney with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Kipp serves as vice chair and executive committee member of the Borderplex Alliance, a binational economic organization. She is also on the boards of the Sun Bowl Association, Sierra Providence East Medical Center, First National Bank of Fabens and Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce.

She received her B.A. from Williams College and J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. She also attended Exeter College at Oxford University.

The El Paso Branch board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed and three by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
