Dallas Fed promotes Anil Kumar to economic policy advisor and senior economist

For Immediate Release: June 5, 2017

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has promoted Anil Kumar to economic policy advisor and senior economist.

Previously, Kumar served as senior research economist and advisor. Kumar joined the Dallas Fed in 2004. His research focuses on the estimation of economic effects of policies and programs, such as taxes, pension and Social Security, on the labor market and household finances. Kumar has published widely in major peer-reviewed economics journals. He is also an adjunct professor of economics at the Southern Methodist University (SMU).

Kumar holds a BA in economics from the University of Delhi and an MS in applied statistics and a PhD in economics from Syracuse University.
