Tyson Tuttle of Austin appointed to Dallas Fed’s San Antonio Branch board

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Tyson Tuttle of Austin to the Bank’s San Antonio Branch board of directors to serve the remaining portion of an unexpired term ending Dec. 31, 2020.

In his role as a board member, Tuttle will provide input into regional economic conditions as part of the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy functions.

Tuttle is president and CEO of Silicon Labs, a global silicon, software and solutions company based in Austin. He joined Silicon Labs in 1997 and has held a variety of roles in design engineering and product management including CTO and COO before being named CEO in 2012. Prior to Silicon Labs, he held roles at Broadcom Corporation and Cirrus Logic.  

Tyson is a board member of the Semiconductor Industry Association and the Global Semiconductor Alliance, and an advisory board member of Johns Hopkins University’s Whiting School of Engineering.

Tyson holds a BS degree from the Johns Hopkins University and an MS degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, both in electrical engineering.

The San Antonio Branch board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed and three by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.
