Gorges reappointed to Dallas Fed's San Antonio Branch board

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has re-appointed Matt F. Gorges of Harlingen to serve a three-year term on the Dallas Fed’s San Antonio Branch board of directors.

Gorges is CEO of Harlingen-based Valley International Cold Storage Inc. In addition, he is involved in other food industry-related businesses, including shrimp processing, food products and farming.

Gorges is a member of the Harlingen Rotary Club. Previously, he served as a trustee for Rice University and on the board of directors of the First National Bank of Harlingen and Texas Commerce Bank in Brownsville. He has been active and in support of numerous civic and charity organizations.

He received a B.A. in economics and finance from Rice University.

The San Antonio board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed board and three by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
