Dallas Fed reappoints Charles Amato to San Antonio branch board

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has reappointed Charles E. Amato to its San Antonio Branch board of directors. He will serve a three-year term ending Dec. 31, 2022.

As a board member, he provides input on regional economic conditions as part of the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy functions.

Amato is chairman and co-founder of SWBC, a San Antonio-based international diversified financial services company.

He is chairman of the Texas State University System Foundation and Loan Star Capital Bank Advisory Board. He is also vice chairman of the Texas Business Leadership Council and serves on the boards of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital Foundation, and Silver and Black Give Back.

Amato received a bachelor of business administration degree from Sam Houston State University. He received the 2015 Citation Award from Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and was inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame in 2013.

The San Antonio Branch board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed and three by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
