Dallas Fed names David Teeples as senior vice president, general counsel
DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has named David Teeples as senior vice president and general counsel.
Teeples joined the Dallas Fed in 2017 as vice president and deputy general counsel, and he has served as interim general counsel since August 2023.
As general counsel, Teeples will be responsible for leading the Dallas Fed’s Legal Department and serve as adviser to Bank leadership on issues of governance, ethics and legal authority.
Prior to joining the Dallas Fed, Teeples was in private practice at a large law firm, where he represented financial institutions in matters involving banking regulation, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions and corporate governance.
Teeples earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Oklahoma and his juris doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
