Dallas Fed names Benjamin Klein as vice president and deputy general counsel

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has named Benjamin Klein as vice president and deputy general counsel, effective Aug. 31.

Klein will provide legal counsel and ethics guidance, oversee legal services and advise bank leadership on regulatory and policy matters.

Klein previously led the Bank Activities Unit in the FDIC’s legal division, providing counsel on core bank regulatory issues to regional offices and the FDIC board of directors. He also completed a temporary assignment in the Office of International Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. In this role, Klein collaborated with domestic and international regulators on financial regulatory challenges, including operational resilience and third-party risk management, and contributed to work on cloud adoption in the financial sector.

Klein earned a bachelor's degree in government and both a juris doctorate and master's in law from Georgetown University.
